The app allows users to view and download their e-Aadhaar card, generate a Virtual ID (VID) for enhanced privacy during authentication, check their Aadhaar update history, and verify the status of ongoing Aadhaar enrolment or update requests using the Enrolment ID (EID) or Update Request Number (URN). The built-in QR code scanner enables instant offline verification of any Aadhaar card, while the biometric lock and unlock feature gives users complete control over their biometric data by allowing them to lock their fingerprints and iris scans when not in use, adding an extra layer of security against unauthorized authentication attempts.

Additionally, the Aadhaar app provides a comprehensive Aadhaar authentication history feature that lets users review every instance where their Aadhaar was used for verification, helping detect any unauthorized usage. The app supports address update requests, email and mobile number verification, and provides access to the nearest Aadhaar enrolment centre locator.
